Welcome to the heritage town of Cottage Grove, which was originally settled in 1848 and grew wtih the discovery of Gold in the nearby mountains in 1863. Cottage Grove is known for its historic covered bridges beautiful lakes and rivers and scenic hiking and biking trails.  Located within a short drive of Eugene, Cottage Grove is a peaceful retreat, the perfect base for exploring the wonders of Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

You may recognize the village of Cottage Grove as the setting for the final parade in the movie Animal House and Buster Keaton’s movie, The General.  Look for murals depicting these icons of pop culture.  Stroll through the village and visit the eclectic shops and galleries and dining establishment.
